Synergy of Academics and Practitioners: UNBI Psychology Students Dissect the Reality of Preschool Child Development

DENPASAR, UNBI - The Psychology Study Program of Bali International University (UNBI) continues to be committed to presenting learning that is relevant to industry needs. This was proven through the organization of a special guest lecture for the course Educational Psychology which was held on Monday, March 16, 2026.

Located in the UNBI campus environment, the activity which began at 14.00 WITA presented an expert and senior practitioner from Psychoudayana, Dr. Hilda Sudhana, M.Kes. This guest lecture was enthusiastically attended by all 4th semester Psychology students.

Bridging Theory and Field Reality

The main purpose of this activity is not just to fulfill the curriculum, but to provide in-depth insight into the dynamics of preschool-age child development.

We want students to not only master the theory in the textbook, but also get a real picture of the cases that occur in the field,

Case Dissection and Critical Analysis

In her presentation session, Dr. Hilda Sudhana shared various clinical experiences regarding the crucial phase of child development. The class atmosphere became very interactive when entering the How session, where students were challenged to:

1. Listen to Comprehensive Material: Understand the cognitive, emotional, and social aspects of preschool children.

Conduct Case Analysis: Students actively provide examples of phenomena that often occur in the world of education today.

2. Solutionary Discussion: Formulating the right psychological approach for educators and parents in facing the challenges of child development.

Real Steps Towards Competent Graduates

Through the presence of practitioners from Psychoudayana, it is hoped that UNBI 4th semester students will have mental and intellectual readiness before going directly into society. This activity emphasizes UNBI's position as a progressive campus in integrating the academic world with professional practice.
