Collaboration Between UNBI’s Computer Science Program and SMAS Dharma Praja Denpasar to Educate Students on the Use of AI
DENPASAR – In an effort to prepare the younger generation for the digital age, the Community Service (PKM) team from the Computer Science Program at Bali International University (UNBI) successfully held an educational event at SMAS Dharma Praja Denpasar on Tuesday, May 26. The event, which ran from 8:00 a.m. WITA until completion, was themed “Utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI) to Support Student Productivity”.

This collaborative PKM program was specifically designed for high school students, with the goal of providing them with a deep understanding and practical skills in using artificial intelligence (Artificial Intelligence) wisely, positively, and productively to support their daily learning process.
Attended by dozens of students with great enthusiasm, the material presented by lecturers and students from UNBI’s Computer Science Program focused on introducing various AI tools that can help simplify academic tasks, boost creativity, and improve time management.
In addition to theoretical explanations, the students were also invited to participate in simulations and hands-on practice. Through these interactive sessions, students were guided to understand how AI can function as a healthy “personal assistant” in learning—not as a tool for finding instant shortcuts, but as a catalyst for productivity.
“AI technology is advancing rapidly across various sectors. Through this PKM, we from the UNBI Computer Science Program want to ensure that the students of SMAS Dharma Praja Denpasar have strong digital literacy, so they can optimize this technology to enhance their personal capabilities and learning efficiency," said I Wayan Angga Arditaloka, the committee chair.
The administration of SMAS Dharma Praja Denpasar warmly welcomed and expressed full appreciation for the initiative and knowledge shared by the UNBI Computer Science Program team. This activity was deemed highly relevant to the needs of today’s educational landscape, where mastery of cutting-edge technology is a key asset in building graduates’ competitiveness.
This interactive event concluded with a discussion session, a Q&A with the students, and a group photo session involving the entire UNBI Computer Science Department PKM team, the supervising teachers, and the event participants.
Through this PKM activity, Bali International University, particularly the Computer Science Program, reaffirmed its commitment to fulfilling the Tri Dharma of Higher Education by disseminating technology-based knowledge that has a tangible impact on the advancement of society and the world of education in Bali.
