UNBI’s 2026 PKKMB CLOSED ON A HIGH NOTE; NEW STUDENTS LEARNED ABOUT ORGANIZATIONS AND SHOWCASED CULTURAL CREATIVITY

Denpasar, August 26, 2026 – The 2026 University of Bali International (UNBI) New Student Orientation Program (PKKMB) entered its second and final day on Wednesday (August 26, 2026). Since early morning, the campus had been bustling with organizers and new students preparing for various activities, ranging from group exercises, a student organization expo, student club performances, group creative performances, to the closing ceremony.

Preparations had been underway by the organizing committee since 5:00 a.m. WITA. Various necessities for the PKKMB Day 2 were prepared, including tables and booths to be used for the Student Activity Units (UKM) and student organizations (ormawa) exhibitions and booths. New students began arriving on campus at 6:00 a.m. WITA. The day’s activities began with group calisthenics at 6:49 a.m. WITA, followed by a group breakfast. The morning atmosphere grew even livelier as the new students enthusiastically participated in the jingle exercise routine for UNBI’s Pelita Muda.

During the event, facilitators checked that new students had all their required items. Several committee members were also on standby near the participants to ensure that the entire series of activities proceeded in an orderly manner.

Student Clubs and Student Organizations Introduce Student Development Opportunities

One of the main agenda items on the second day of the PKKMB was a presentation and introduction to student clubs and student organizations. Through this session, new students gained an overview of the various personal development opportunities available to them during their studies at UNBI.

The first performance was presented by the Music Student Club and the Harmoni Nawasena Choir. The musical performance featured the songs Blue by Yung Kai and Bertaut by Nadin Amizah. The freshmen seated on the field appeared to enjoy the performance.

Next, the Abirama Danumaya Student Press Club introduced the three divisions within the organization: PDD, which focuses on publication, documentation, and design; the Creative division; and the Kominfo division, or Communication and Information. The Student Press Club chair, Cahya, also explained the definition of the press, the activities carried out, the organization’s goals, and the division of responsibilities.

The next presentation came from the Mapala Moose Amengku Bhumi Student Club. The Mapala president, Satya, explained the various activities carried out by the organization. In his presentation, he emphasized that Mapala is not just an organization, but also a family that grows and develops together.

The Sheira Student Club E-Sports then introduced the activities planned, one of which is a fun match in the UNBI Auditorium. New students who are still interested in trying out and learning more about e-sports are also welcome to come to the auditorium to participate in the event.

The Satwika Natya Aban Dance Club also introduced the various activities they carry out, including performing at a number of campus events. One example is the dance club’s involvement in accompanying the Sekar Jagat dance at various events. This club also has a signature dance performed by nine dancers. Students who wish to be part of this signature dance troupe will undergo a selection process.

The organization introductions then continued with the Badminton Club, which explained the various sports activities and events open to students.

In addition to introducing their organizations, several clubs also put on performances. The Campus Boys and Girls Student Club, for example, performed a dance accompanied by the song Kala Cinta Menggoda, made popular by Noah. The chair of the Campus Boys and Girls Student Club, Prasada, explained that the organization consists of 20 members—10 boys and 10 girls.

The Catholic Student Group (KMK) student club also introduced its programs and collaborative efforts. During the session, the members collectively expressed a spirit of unity through the chant, “In Christ, we are all brothers and sisters.”

Next, the KSR-PMI Bhakti Persada student organization opened its introductory session with the greeting “Siamo tutti fratelli,” to which the new students responded with the chant “Tutti fratelli.” This student organization introduced a number of programs as well as opportunities for its members to build relationships with students from other campuses and get directly involved in various field activities.

The next introductory session was led by the Student Group for AIDS, Reproductive, and Sexual Health (KMPAKRS). This student organization introduced educational resources on HIV/AIDS as well as reproductive and sexual health, including the importance of accessing accurate information without viewing these issues as taboo. New students were also introduced to the slogan, “KMPAKRS UNBI, to be action, free from stigma!”

The student organization Dance or Galaksi Crew was the next group to perform. Five speakers introduced their organizations’ slogans. When the speaker shouted “Galaksi Crew!”, the new students responded with the chant “Ho’a ho’e!” In addition to introducing the organization, the Dance student club also performed a dance routine that was met with enthusiastic applause.

Cheers rang out from both the new students and the organizing committee as they watched each performance. This enthusiasm demonstrated that the organization introduction session served not only as a means of conveying information but also as a moment of interaction between student organizations and their prospective members.
